So Far, So Good
So far, so good
Or so they say
Until the day arrives
When that’s not good enough
Some win, some lose
And some just wait
Until the day arrives
When that’s not good enough
Someone always forgives them
If they know not what they do
And who can blame them
When it feels so good, so far
Until it’s over?
Can you never be so sure again?
We’ll it always be this way
For those who live to love another day?

I've often observed that the marital vows seem to have degraded from
"till death do us part" to "till something better comes along."
People marry and divorce 3, 4 and 5 times in a lifetime. How often can you
say "I do" before your done?
I've been married twice myself, and so I know how marriages
can fail. I didn't write this song to make a moral point; but I hope raising
the question can make us all pause before we leap into marriage, and that
a little reflection beforehand can save us a lifetime of grief later on.
