Nobody Else
Warts and all, big and small
I will love them all
If they belong to you and nobody else
Because it’s true, loves sees through
Every now and then
And looks beyond to you
And nobody else
And when my time is up
And I know I’ll cease to be
I only know which face
Is the one I’ll want to see
When the light starts to fade
On this life we made
I’ll think of only you
And nobody else
Further than the eyes can see
And closer than a heartbeat
Night and day
In every hour, in every way
Because it’s true, loves sees through
Every now and then
And looks beyond to you
And nobody else

1992. We don't love perfection, however much we desire it. We love people.
And sometimes, it's just those flaws that make them who they are and distinguish
them from all those others in our lives.
If I had to have an ultimate love song in my repetoire, this
would be it. Very few love songs even mention flaws and imperfections in
the beloved, but this one celebrates them.
